This unusual load was snapped on the back of a Leicester Heavy Haulage vehicle today.  I’ve no idea how they managed to keep the monster in such a little cage! It was en-route to Oxford Street, London for a Christmas exhibition of some sort. They did manage to sheet it, as the Police didn’t want it on view to the Public incase it caused accidents. Contact LHH for all your strange or normal abnormal load needs by emailing them at traffic@hcwilsontransport.com

Mini MAN

Yea another Tonka toy, but thi time in the true form of its big brother. This little artic pulls mobile coffee bars around Switzerland for shows and events. The Swiss have always been sufficticated, we still use the back of an ex BT transit to buy our coffee from here in the UK, nothing wrong with it either! Cracking Truck 10 out of 10. I always think it’d be cool to buy a mini artic like this but make it look like a big truck, with bigger tanks a suitably scaled trailer etc etc, but obviously no one will as it’d make it to heavy and kind of defeat the object of buying a light mini artic. Perhaps that an idea for the lottery win list.

Steve Marsh Express

As you all know i like a little lorry, although plated at 12 ton its not the smallest, Steve Marsh runs a tidy little tilt all over the continent. Hopefully he’ll keep sending in pictures from his trips past and present. These pics were taken on a trip to Tenerife last year, looks like a good place for a piccie or 2! If your interested or you require Steve’s services (he has vans too), click the link to go to his website. www.stevemarshexpress.co.uk

Astran Update

Had a quick chat with the main man Kevin at Astran yesterday. He says they are still keeping busy. Yesterday they had 2 x Trucks loading in Seville for Qatar, 2 x Trucks in Venice loading for Qatar and 1 x Truck in Holland loading for Saudi.  Click Here to go to the new look webpage. While your there you better put your name down on the mailing list to keep up to date with all the goings on.

Taken at Assen this year, look at the lovely 141 in the background!! I might dig out the color version at some point if i can’t be bothered to see if i have posted it before. Great picture, but would have been awhole lot better if they all had period trailers!!

Looking at it from the other side its a little clearer. Now for your part, who can tell me who the subbie is on the front? Looks like a Volvo to me. Email me at ben@truckblog.co.uk with your answers.

Update on this, i have just been very reliably informed this was taken in 2005 and is a Seymour Actros heading for a new life in the sun!!
