Went over to see her yesterday, and she is all but done. just have to;
– Replace the rear mudflaps as the current ones dont cover the tread width of the tyres.
– Fold some covers out of ally sheet to cover the rear wheels.
-Finish wiring the rear lights. (frontlights all work).
– Replace a fuel hose as its sprung a leek.
– Put the interiour back. Thats the biggest job and next saturday is the day. MOT 6th March.

This is a better photo of the cab. I’ve always thought of putting stripes on the side of the cab, but now the name board is up, i really have changed my mind, i think it has to be signwritten now. What do you think? Got an idea, email me at, ben@truckblog.co.uk

The quality is top notch as usual from the dutch, definatly one to check out, and an easy day out if you live close to Stanstead Airport!

Well where can i start?! What an excellent day we had, and yes even Jo said she enjoyed it (and i believed her!) For me this black beauty was the highlight of my day, but unfortunately it was sold the morning the show opened, Bugger! The Show its self was excellent, lots to look at that we don’t get over here. A huge change in attitude and approach to transport was very very noticeable in every thing, all the products on show seemed to be tailor made to each operators needs where as over here i get the impression we all go for the standard things because we can make do. Then again i think there is another more important reason, money! It is quite clear to see that the dutch are making money out of transport where as we aren’t. Take the black King of the Road Edition Scania, yours for a mere 115,000euro bought the morning of the show by a small haulier Ronald van Wel. There is still a good enthusiasm for transport over there, lots of kids wanting to be truck drivers , operators still wanting to paint there trucks in striking liveries, unlike most of our hauliers who more and more often seem to be turning to white, why? because its all they can afford. Sad but true. Being out there almost made me want to be an owner driver again, it was all very …….hmm……….. inspiring, if only we could all move to Holland!

I would also like to know if anyone can shed any light on this truck. I think the reg is VOI 141. Could well be an owner driver by the looks of it, but i have no idea, so come on help me out again, email me with anything you know or can help with, more photos would be nice. Can anyone tell me where i can find a trailer like that? all emails to ben@truckblog.co.uk please, ta.
