How about this then, Wilsons had to load this old beauty in Horncastle this week to deliver to Southampton. Why? Because it is being shipped out to Doha, Qatar for the State National Day Celebrations. Yea, exactly. I just hope it comes back in one piece and not put to work for another 20 years, like most commercials heading East.

New Bridge on the A12
I know its not exactly truck related, but you all know where the new Colchester Stadium is and the new junction they are building on the A12 in Essex. On Sunday just gone the road was closed and it was a lovely quiet nights sleep i can tell you, but before the ZZZZ’s i popped down the road to see what was going on, only to find this big Sarens crane lifting in the pieces for the new junction bridge. Not a bad picture, but i was very odd seeing the A12 in pitch darkness, very odd.
Cometh the Hour Commeth the DAF
The time has arrived for Dave Crawford and Kersey Freight to put their first 2 new trucks on the road. The trucks in question are K18 KFL and K19 KFL. Both are DAF XF105 Super Space Cabs. They will be mainly running to Paris and Italy but i’m sure they will end up any where that pays! Nice to see a company that are actually doing well at the moment.
Middle East Sellers
These pictures were taken by Wayne Skinner on his way to the ME with some sellers. Still seems to be a good trade in European trucks out there although he did say he was a little cautious about the ex MW Tasker Scania as they are slighty out of favour at the moment. Still a cracking pic of the Volvo in the desert and does any one know where the Scania pic was taken?? i have no idea! At least Astran are keeping him busy, hopefully more pics to come.

Trouble with The Little MAN
Having noticed a few weeks ago Steve Marsh had broken down in Germany, it turns out he’s been having problems with the clutch. A big MAN was called out and supposedly fixed the problem, see below.

A few weeks later Marshy was back to full fitness or so he thought. After loading in Lee on Solent with Helicopter Rotors, he headed off to Milano. But more problems occured with the clutch, some leaking oil or some thing. He made it to Italy and reloaded back in Belgium yesterday. Hopefully the little MAN will get sorted and be back to full fitness soon enough.

New Trailers for Kersey Freight
My good friend Dave Crawford at Kersey Freight, sent me these pictures of his first 2 new trailers in a batch of 6. The 13.6m Boxvans were supplied by Matt Kerrison at SDC Trailers. The new trailers will be working mainly on daily shuttles to Paris and will be available to our clients for reloads to the UK. The trailers offer excellent security for high value shipments and will all be pulled on a driver accompanied basis. There are also 2 DAF’s going on the road later this month, so hopefully i’ll post some pictures of them when they arrive.

Big Dumper Load on The Road
What a cracking load!! That is either a huge trailer or……….. I was thinking how pleased a little boy/girl in America must be, when his daddy arrives home with his new dumper truck strapped to the back of Daddies 18 Wheeler, what a lucky boy/girl he or she is!! Any other odds load pics?? email them to me truckblog@hotmail.co.uk

Planes & Trucks
Why does getting airside always make for a good picture? In fact i’m surprised no one told the driver off for taking pictures! Good one though, show me a picture that doesn’t look good when a truck is next to a plane………. truckblog@hotmail.co.uk Perhaps i should send it to Virgin and see if they want to use it for advertising!!

Truckblog on the Move again!!
The latest sticker to stick itself to a trailer is on the move!! Attached to the back of a De Rijke tilt, trailer no 40928. The web address should now be carried backwards and forwards all over the UK and Europe. If you see it why not send me a picture to truckblog@hotmail.co.uk good work my little sticker sticking team!!

Electric Seddon
The eagle eyed Steve Marsh found this little number some where in the UK. He says that it has been taken out of a museum for some restoration, although it does look in great nick as it is! Do you have any other info or know any thing else about it? email me truckblog@hotmail.co.uk or add a comment.
