Off to Norway

Arnie off to Norway today. Shipping Immingham to Brevik, then tipping Friday hopefully to a little island near Haugesund, called Hoylandsbygdi. The load is 3.50m wide and will be under escort from Brevik to delivery point. The load is Crane sections for a shipyard. Hopefully Arnie will get some pictures along the way that i may just be able to share with you at a later date. No re-load yet so if anyone can help let me know! ben@truckblog.co.uk

Matt O last week on Good Friday, just about to leave for Immingham. He sailed on Saturday morning Immingham to Gothenberg. Drove round to Stavanger, Norway for Delivery first thing Tuesday. He then ran empty across to Kristineham, Sweden to reload Wednesday morning. Back to Gothenberg for Wednesday evening for ship back to Immingham and back to our yard this morning. Nice little weeks work and avoided the easter egg hunts and family photos i had to endure over the weekend!!

Look what i drove today! Driver was out of cards when he got back to Harwich, so i drove his truck back to the yard. No real weight in it or over width, so was fairly straight forward. I won’t blow my own trumpet as our drivers do this day in day out, but i was quite pleased i got back to the yard through the village without clipping a kerb!!
I won’t talk about the V8 but lets just say i didn’t bother putting the radio on for the hour and 25 minutes i had to myself.
Enjoyed it.
